Between social philosophy and social fight: the updating of Axel Honneth’s critical theory

The paper pretends to introduce to the work of Axel Honneth, in which and ambitious proyect to update critical theory develops. In his theory of recognition Honneth presents a proposal to overcome some of the problems of earlier expressions of critical theory. However, ther is a danger that also a theory of recognition might fall back into the pits of reductionism.
