Abstract

Georges Bataille’s reflection on Western Culture does have its origine on his essay titled La parte maldita: la destrucción. Ensayo de Economía General; a theorical attempt to build an interpretation on the culture disassociated to all utilitarian. Incrementalist, reproductive limited reference of modern society is developped in there. Two are the basic axes where Bataille cultural critic is supported: The nature giving its excedents as nonproductive expence and the gift influenced by sovereinity.
