Analogic ontology

Abstract: Peter van Inwagen holds that being is univocal. Van Inwagen’s arguments are weak insofar as he does not consider analogia entis. Nevertheless, even if the theory of analogy is stronger than the theories of being that van Inwagen criticizes, it faces its own difficulties, which become apparent by the formalization of the theory of analogy of names by Jósef Marie Bochénski.
