Challenges and opportunities for the creation of sustainable value in community organizations of agricultural production in Mexico

Abstract
Community organizations of agricultural production worldwide face serious complications and problems to maintain themselves under the current conditions of the international economic system, causing not only phenomena associated with the abandonment of primary practices but also the gradual loss of emblematic crops in deeply rooted territories. biocultural. The objective of this essay was to analyze through a documentary review the challenges and opportunities for the creation of sustainable value (CVS) in community organizations of agricultural production in Mexico. The results showed that the main challenges revolve around the optimization of the use of resources and the multi-use of the agricultural system to promote local food production, as well as the reduction of costs to increase the efficiency and economic viability of small producers. . CVS is identified as an opportunity to differentiate, diversify, innovate and transform agricultural practices carried out by community organizations and a need to establish coordinated strategies for their proper application.
