Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of this work is to analyze a religious image present in a Querétaro community, in order to highlight its religious value based on its historical and cultural value. This within the Querétaro context, which tends to make traditions of indigenous origin invisible in favor of those that can be commercialized or folklorized. What I propose is to highlight the image, the figure of the local and unique saint created within the community and highlight his role as a pillar and root of the religiosity and identity of the people of Jurica.
Keywords: Identity, Patron Saint, traditions, popular religiosity, syncretism.
