“The green enchantment…” The bed shapes in the notarial papers in Valladolid de Michoacán, during the 17th century

Abstract
In Valladolid de Michoacán, the bed was appeared in the 16th century. This furniture arrived to the New Spain by the Castilla neighbors established in the Old City of Michoacán. According from the notarial records, those people brought to the city the first beds and others european style things.
This study started about the material construction of the bed in the Valladolid de Michoacán city, become on the notarial papers since in the 17th century, same testament and others legal issues; there are files from the Archivo General de Notarías de Morelia (AGNM).
