The art of healing
Hermeneutics of health and sickness
Keywords:
Gadamer, medicine field, healthAbstract
Beginning with the description of the main contents of The hidden state of health by Hans-Georg Gadamer, the paper intents to show the peculiarities of hermeneutics applied to the medicine field. Opposite to the common reading of the book it shows the main concerns of a philosopher around health, which are based in a negative way: health only can be perceived when is gone and in this line Gadamer overcomes a new systemic or organic method that provides us the unique character of the agencies. A method that uses the word as a primary resort to give back not only the patient life but also society’s.
