Human rights, religious diversity, and secularism (or why Shakira didn't go to Qatar))
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this essay is to present the exhaustion
of the modern concept of human rights
and to outline some proposals for its updating
or replacement. In particular, it analyzes religious
freedom within the current public space,
where the former coexists with cultural and religious
diversity, as well as diminished social
institutions. To justify the proposed idea, this
paper will be addressed from the perspectives
of philosophy and legal theory, sociology, state
theory, and political science.
