Code-Switching Unifying Contemporary and Historical Perspectives
Main Article Content
Abstract
This book starts from the premise that code-switching (CS) has its own set of rules, which, as in any language, can be broken, so they are probabilistic, not absolute. The central point of the question is to clarify what these rules are. Accordingly, the author demonstrates that the study of CS in historical texts, using the Matrix Language Frame Model, can be an important source of information for resolving the question.
