CINEMA AS A TEACHING TOOL TO IDENTIFY GENDER VIOLENCE

Abstract
This article will analyze the use of cinema as a didactic tool to identify gender violence. Considering the relationship between both themes, the different types of gender violence are described from the theoretical postulates of gender and feminism, as well as the characteristics of constructivism to achieve significant learning on the subject in question. Starting from the premise of defining Cinema as a source of knowledge
and the didactic possibilities that exist to be able to interpret film works, through the theory of significant learning, a guide is elaborated to develop critical thinking and bring students closer to know the basic concepts of gender violence.
