Main Article Content
Abstract
Throughout its history as an independent nation, Mexico has been characterized by providing political asylum to dissidents from illegitimate and repressive regimes from some thirty countries, including those from Venezuela. This tradition has been possible because there have been personalities or institutions that have provided opportunities for those persecuted. One of the institutions that has distinguished itself the most in this regard has been the Universidad Michoacana. This article deals with the close relationship that existed between four of these dissidents and this university.
