Decentralization in Policy for Local Development: The case of Tarímbaro

Abstract
The objective of this work is to determine how decentralization influences the design of a local development policy in the municipality of Tarímbaro, Michoacán. To achieve this objective, Likert-type questionnaires were applied to people who work in the municipal presidency, that is, to the authority; With the information collected, a descriptive statistical analysis was carried out that made it possible to account for the need to formulate a public policy for local development that is prepared with municipal autonomy, taking into account the specific context of the community, as well as the needs of the community. the same, since the results indicate that there is no administrative, political and financial autonomy to implement a local policy.
