A Critical Approach to the Idea of Animal Culture

Abstract

This article is a critical approach to the animal culture idea. Taking into consideration that many authors from different fields of study, especially Biology, identify culture with information, and they sustain the legitimacy of inserting animal learned behavior, and the necessity of societal, so this learning may take place in a set period of time. However, the analysis of these concepts shows some contradictions and insufficiencies, as well as it effaces the human sociability from the one of the animal world.
