Abstract

The principal purpose of this article is to analyze the way the History of Philosophy is studied in Latin American countries. The main reason for this is that the most important philosophers and educators do not teach Philosophy in a philosophical manner. They use a cultural, ideological, romantic and even an erudite methodology that focuses Latin American Philosophy wrongly and as a result, a lack of interest among students and philosophers who really love Philosophy. This article suggests a more proper method to study the History of Philosophy from a philosophical point of view, this is, methodologically seen from a conceptual frame and highlighting philosophical values.
