María Zambrano: from the descent to hell to the poetical reason

Abstract

With the “Descent to hell” figure is referred María Zambrano’s exposed need of an “emendation of the intellect”, a critique of reason, which allows to relocate the fields of the irrational, the affective, the hidden, the denied, to restore a truly reason committed to life. The path of this restoration crosses through poetry (poetical reason) and recovers some Nietzschean proposal.
