The mystery of literary creation

Abstract

Mysteries usually have simple solutions, but sometimes the difficulty in finding a solution lies mainly in the fact that certain truths are concealed because there is not a suitable environment by means of which they may come to light. This is the case of sacredness, a still hidden reality that art could capture and was related to human significance some time ago. One of the major philosophical bets of María Zambrano is the attempt to open such conception to a multiplicity that could make room for every human experience. At the end, Zambrano’s interest is to show that literary creation will continue being a mystery for the contemporary man until he accepts that what is hidden behind it is precisely the mystery of being a man situated in history, in the time of thinking and wanting; but also, out of it, in the time of feeling, of hope and of revealing dreams.
