Este artículo trata sobre el concepto crítico de tecnología de Karl Marx, desde su origen hasta sus alcances en la historia social, así como de la influencia que tuvo en la filosofía y el pensamiento social sobre tecnología. Su hipótesis es que es necesario un cambio en el sistema de valores en la producción tecnológica para que ésta se convierta efectivamente en una herramienta que mejore la vida humana, pues en el capitalismo y como creación capitalista, la tecnología es contraria a este propósito.
